Dr. Saltzman is Associate Director for the Nathanson Family Resilience Center. Dr. Saltzman is a clinical psychologist who trained at the University of Maryland and UCLA. For the past eighteen years, Dr. Saltzman has developed and implemented trauma and loss focused programs for children and families contending with disaster, war, community violence, and medical trauma. Dr. Saltzman co-developed FOCUS and has consulted extensively with military families and military service providers. Dr. Saltzman is a Professor of Counseling at California State University, Long Beach and is on staff with the UCLA Child and Family Trauma Psychiatry Service and the UCLA National Center for Child Traumatic Stress
