The Nathanson Family Resilience Center has partnered with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) to deliver training to multiple levels of DMH staff in the Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS) Family Resiliency Training™ program. The program implementation is consistent with a broad public health strategy for tiered prevention services (universal, selective and indicated prevention) to support families faced with adversities.
The goal is to equip DMH staff to acquire competency and expertise in delivering FOCUS Family Resiliency Training™ at both the individual family and group levels, and to support DMH community outreach and engagement of military and veteran families.
