All of the individual persons and business entities named herein, including the University of California, Los Angeles, (hereinafter “UCLA”), involved in, associated with and/or dedicated to the development, funding, creation of and/or maintenance and oversight of the “FOCUS On Foster Families mobile application” (hereinafter collectively known as “UCLA NFRC”), are committed to protecting your privacy as a User of the mobile application. We firmly believe that electronic security and privacy are necessary for the continued success of the mobile applications. In support of this, UCLA NFRC will only retain and/or utilize USER-provided personal information to create a more personalized and entertaining USER experience with the mobile application. Use of personal data by either UCLA NFRC and/or the FOCUS On Foster Families mobile application is in compliance with applicable state and federal laws, and in accordance with the following terms:

The FOCUS On Foster Families mobile application is intended for educational purposes only. This mobile application is not intended to provide counseling, therapy, or mental health services. It is an educational program for families and children intended to provide families the opportunity to have fun, self-assess their resilience and to learn additional information pertinent to family resilience.

UCLA NFRC “Kid’s Policy” (individuals under 13 years of age)

UCLA NFRC and the FOCUS On Foster Families mobile application are committed to protecting the safety of children in mobile environments. In compliance with the Children’s Privacy Protection Act of 1998, UCLA NFRC and the FOCUS On Foster Families mobile application will never knowingly request or use personal information from children under 13 years of age without prior parental consent. If UCLA NFRC and/or the FOCUS On Foster Families mobile application receive actual knowledge that an individual completing a survey through the Parent’s section of FOCUS On Foster Families is under 13 years of age, UCLA NFRC will eliminate all personal information relating to this subscriber from our files.

What information do we collect?

All USER data submitted by USERs of the FOCUS On Foster Families mobile application, including but not limited to name, email address, personal demographic, and/or physically descriptive USER information submitted to UCLA NFRC, is done so with the express consent of each USER and kept strictly confidential by UCLA NFRC.

If you visit the FOCUS On Foster Families support website through the UCLA Nathanson Family Resilience Center website, we also collect IP addresses in aggregate form, but these are not linked to any of your personally identifiable information.

We may from time to time conduct statistical evaluation based on aggregate FOCUS On Foster Families mobile application USER input information; however, such evaluation is conditioned upon maintaining strict confidentiality of personally identifiable USER information.

How do we use the information?

In an effort to better service USERS of the FOCUS On Foster Families mobile application, and to improve individual USER experience of the application, we may from time to time aggregate your information with information of other USERS to help us evaluate USER trends, patterns and preferences, and demographics.

All personal information will be kept strictly confidential by UCLA NFRC.
