Operation Mend

Operation Mend offers a collaborative approach to healing United States military personnel wounded and disfigured in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Services include plastic and reconstructive surgery, mental-health support (for warriors and their families), orthopaedic reconstruction for severely damaged limbs, urologic treatment, otolaryngological (ear, nose and throat) care, the examination and treatment of reproductive issues, repair of airways, and design of new prosthetic ears.

UCLA Child and Family Trauma Clinic

The Child and Family Trauma Clinic provides evaluation, consultation, prevention, and treatment services for children and family members affected by trauma and other challenging events, including medical illness, traumatic loss, community violence, disasters, and combat deployment stress.

Welcome Back Veterans Family Resilience Center

The Welcome Back Veterans Family Resilience Center offers interventions and evaluations for Veterans and their families, including:

  • Structured Approach Therapy (SAT): a couple-based PTSD treatment that assertively targets the avoidance and numbing symptoms of PTSD.
  • FOCUS Family Resiliency Training™: a family level program which teaches key resilience skills to promote positive individual and family coping. 
  • Access to a continuum of services adapted and coordinated across service providers within the civilian environment, which provides families with many different types of assistance.
